Conclusion

Finally it’s time to start the Reciprocal Net daemon.  Open the Service Configuration program and find recipnetd in the lower-left pane.  Highlight recipnetd and click the Start button on the program’s toolbar.  In the confirmation window that appears a few seconds later, click Ok.

Congratulations!  The Reciprocal Net site software is now running on your server.  You can access it by pointing your web browser to http://www.yourserver.edu/recipnet/.  You should be able to log in with the site administrator credentials you specified earlier in this chapter.

Most labs find it convenient to tuck their Reciprocal Net server away in a closet somewhere and interact with it exclusively via web browsers running on their desktop computers.
