L-Isoleucine is an essential, branched-chain, aliphatic amino acid that is found in many proteins. It is an important compound for hemoglobin synthesis and regulates energy and blood sugar levels.
Together with leucine and valine, it metabolizes in muscle tissue and promotes muscle recovery, wound healing, including the growth of new tissue and increases growth hormone production. Only the L-form occurs in mammalian protein.
