Methyl Benzoate

Methyl benzoate is a colorless to slightly yellow, oily fragrant liquid.

Chemical Formula: C8H8O2
Layman's explanation: Methyl benzoate is used mainly as a perfume; it has a very pleasant smell and mixes well with scents of Ylang Ylang, Musk, Rose, and Gerenium. Methyl benzoate also acts as a solvent for cellulose esters, is a dying carrier, disinfectant additive, penetrating agent, and pesticide.
